Associated Press -in məlumatına görə, “Dəniz Ticarət Əməliyyatı” adlanan İngilis hərbi qrupu, qısa bir açıqlamada bu xəbəri elan edərək araşdırmanın davam etdiyini iddia edib.

Gəminin kimə məxsus olması və ya növü haqqında daha ətraflı məlumat verməyən bu qrup, hadisənin cümə axşamı gecəsinin son dəqiqələrində “Məsirə” adasının şimal-şərqində baş verdiyini iddia edib.

İngilislərin hadisənin baş verdiyini iddia etdikləri yer, Omanın paytaxtı Maskatdan təxminən 300 km uzaqlıqdadır.

Qrupun hadisə ilə bağlı daha ətraflı məlumat vermədiyini bildirən Associated Press yazıb ki, lakin digər mənbələr hadisənin dəniz quldurları ilə əlaqəli olmadığını ehtimal edirlər.
