Amerika Dövlət Departamenti Əsəd rejimi ilə münasibətlərinin heç vaxt normallaşmayacağını və ölkəni bu əlaqələrə təşviq etməyəcəyini vurğulayıb.

Fars İnformasiya Agentliyinin məlumatına əsasən, Amerikanın Politico qəzetində ölkənin keçmiş rəsmilərinin Co Baydendən Suriya ilə ərəb ölkələrinin yaxınlaşmasına mane olmasını istəmələri haqda məlumat yayılıb.

Məlumata əsasən, həmçinin departament başçısı Antoni Bliken martın 27-də Co Baydenə məktubla müraciət edərək yazıb: Rəsmi Dəməşqlə münasibətlərin qeyd-şərtsiz normallaşdırılması qaçılmaz deyil. Bu rejimlə təkcə söz razılaşması yetərli deyil. Çünki Suriya regionun təhlükəsizliyi və stabilliyi üçün bir təhlükədir.

Co Baydenə yazılmış müraciət məktubunda Fridrix Haff, Ceymz Cefri, Cuel Ribern, Cefri Voltmen və Ann Petterson kimi şəxslərin də imzası olduğu deyilir.
