Alimlərin sözlərinə görə, “Sidersaura marae” adlandıran yeni dinozavr dördayaqlı və uzun quyruqlu olub.
Qeyd olunub ki, əslində “Rebbachisauridae” ailəsinin nümayəndələri böyük ölçüdə olmayıb, ancaq “Sidersaura marae” onların arasında ən böyüyüdür. Nəhəng heyvanın çəkisi təxminən 15 tona, uzunluğu isə 20 m-ə çatıb.
Yeni növ öz adını kəşf edilmiş quyruq sümüklərinin ulduzvari formasından alıb – “Sider” latınca ulduz deməkdir. “Sidersaura marae”nin ilk qalıqları 2012-ci ildə aşkar edilib, bundan sonra ərazidə beşillik kampaniya keçirilib.
